For the Month of February we would like to highlight the wonderful world of Yucca - whom thrive in a number of different habitats around Southern California.

Most commonly, you might come across the Chaparral Yucca (Hesperoyucca whipplei) while hiking - all the way from coastal San Diego into the mountains ⛰ Closely related is the Mojave Yucca (Yucca schidigera), which is distinguishable by its thick and branching trunks. Did you know that Yuccas require special pollination and have a symbiotic relationship to the Yucca moth 🐛 who lay their eggs inside the flowers? They make a great addition to a rock, xeriscape or habitat garden… leave the flower stalks out and birds will use them as a perch! 🐦

We have an excellent assortment of #Yucca available at each of our retail partners.
